Promotional Lanyard Attachments

The Most Popular Custom Lanyard Attachments

There are three standard, popular lanyard attachments; the heavy-duty swivel clip, the alligator clip, and the J-hook. When buying lanyards usually the standard attachment will be either a J-hook or an alligator clip, with the heavy-duty swivels being a slightly more expensive add-on.

The J-Hook (or Swivel Clip)

The J-Hook is the most popular of our lanyard attachments because it's cheap, sturdy, and can be used for many purposes. If you're looking to hang a basic ID pouch, one or two keys, or simple accessories such as a pen or whistle, this is the attachment you will need.

The Alligator Clip

Alligator Clips are best suited to clipping onto ID cards or card wallets that require a firm, uncompromising grip. These clips tend to be popular for security passes and door cards as they have a more secure hold than the J-Hook.

The Heavy Duty Swivel

These extra tough swivel clips are like a maxed out version of the J-Hook, with the added ability to press down and open the clip with ease. These are slightly more expensive than J-Hooks or Alligator clips, but if you're carrying a heavy assortment of keys, identification or accessories, these are the attachment you'll need.

There are plenty of other different attachment options available, including ones that suit smartphones and double-ended attachments for holding large IDs. Ask our friendly sales team for information on which of these attachments will meet your event requirements.
